Threads come loose
& the sun shakes
liquified Earth
into apparent chaos
Seeded cloud shards
seep into the daybreak
& the Saharan desert floods
first time since Clapton was God
Bruised & confused face of a little girl
eyes hollow as dingy donut holes
after riding an impossible storm
she could never even imagine
Disaster porn flying around
turbulent in bombing winds
& pressure lower than
the planet can bear
There are no natural disasters
Only human catastrophes
as civilization sinks
with bottomless anchors
Give. Give. Give. Bleed till you bleed.
We are drowning in money & gas
& unquiet Poseidon summons the tides
& the universe, versus the point of a pin
awakens into a crack in the eternal sky
Time to conduct a Ghost Dance
but the drums are too broken
to bang slowly & the sage
has gone soggy
Golden towers
stunned & tipping,
gone moldy as Gaia rages,
stand holographic against the sea
